Telephone or call in at the Practice to book your appointment. Same day and emergency appointments will be arranged on the same day. Please inform the Receptionist if you need one of these appointments. These are for matters which require urgent attention and cannot wait.
The Ingham Practice already provides online access to order repeat prescriptions.
We also plan to transfer patients records electronically (GP2GP) when patients register with us or deregister if they move away from the practice.
If you wish to register for these online services please leave your details with reception. Thank you.
Online Booking of GP Appointments
From March 2015 the Practice has set up the facility for patients to book online GP appointments. Patients who are currently registered as users should already be able to access the service.
The booking of GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioner appointments will be monitored for suitability as these appointments should not be booked for non-urgent queries that could be dealt with over the phone or by another professional within the Practice.
Please notify the Practice in good time if you no longer wish to keep your appointment or are unable to attend. Reception staff will help you to cancel or re-arrange your appointment for a more convenient time.
During the period from July to December 2017, due to patients not attending their appointments and not informing the Practice of cancellations, the Practice could have offered:
- 171 patients an appointment with the nurse
- 124 patients an appointment with the GP/ANP
This equates to number of hours wasted:
- 42.75 nurses’ hours wasted
- 20.6 ANP/GPs’ hours wasted
- 9 Minor Surgery Appointment hours wasted
Please use our services responsibly. Do not waste our Doctors’ and Nurses’ time!
Notify the Practice in good time if you no longer wish to keep your appointment or are unable to attend. Reception staff will help you to cancel or re-arrange your appointment for a more convenient time.
These wasted appointments could have been offered to other patients and contribute to a more efficient use of the service.
A more efficient service would in turn decrease waiting times!
