AskMyGP

Our practice uses an online consultation system called AskMyGP.  This is the easiest and fastest way to get help.  It saves us time too, so please help us to help you by using this service. Click on the image to open AskMyGP or to sign up. Using AskMyGP will not delay our response.

All patients registered with the practice (including their parents, guardians and carers) are invited to use the service to seek health advice, consult a clinician, request an appointment, request a FIT note and much more.

If you are experiencing chest pains, shortness of breath or your condition warrants an emergency response, please dial 999 for the Emergency Services.

If you require medical services when the Practice is closed you should access NHS 111 online or via the telephone. 111 is a Freephone number from both landlines and mobile telephones. This service is for any urgent but non-life-threatening health concerns. You will be put through to the relevant service for appropriate advice, or booked into an Urgent Treatment Centre.  The nearest Urgent Treatment Centres to the Practice are based at Lincoln County Hospital and John Coupland Hospital in Gainsborough.
At The Ingham Practice we are proud to be accredited as Veteran Friendly by the RCGP, pledging to support our ex-military patients in a focussed and appropriate way.

If you have ever served in the British Armed Forces, please let us know, so that we can ensure that you are getting the best possible care.

As a Veteran Friendly GP Practice we:

· Have a named clinical lead, Dr Sultan, who is supported by the whole Practice with the aim of improving veteran health services.
· Ask patients, “Have you ever served in the Armed Forces?” in order to help us identify our veteran patients.
· Support ex-military patients to access dedicated health services.
· Undertake regular training and development in order to meet the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant and to better understand the needs of our veteran patients.

Support Contacts you might find helpful:

Op COURAGE – The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
Op COURAGE provides specialist care and support for Service leavers, reservists, veterans and their families who can self-refer or ask a GP, charity or someone else to refer them.
Combat Stress
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. It provides free specialised clinical treatment and support to ex-servicemen and women across the UK with mental health conditions. Combat Stress has a strategic partnership with the MOD and the Department of Health and Social Care. This enables the charity to work with NHS mental health to develop services suitable for military veterans.
We are a Teaching Practice and therefore patient queries can be managed by one of our competent GP Registrars. GP Registrars are qualified doctors that operate under Dr Sultan’s supervision and are supported and guided at all times.

Occasionally, the Practice hosts medical students from the University of Lincoln for training purposes. These students observe and learn only. Patients will be advised if the medical students will observe their consultations and procedures and consent will be obtained prior to this. Patients who do not wish to be observed by the medical student can advise the Practice of their decision.

Quote / Testimonial:
The Ingham Practice team is proud to offer excellent health care that is personalised to each individual patient. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We aim to offer services to meet a whole range of needs to help our local community stay healthy and well. Being a smaller practice, we are able to establish and maintain traditional and personal relationships with our patients.

We are a rural dispensing GP practice located in Ingham and serving the surrounding villages from modern, spacious, purpose-built premises that are welcoming and easily accessible for our disabled patients. Should it be necessary, wheelchairs are available for use by patients whilst on site and other reasonable adjustments can be made as appropriate. Ample free parking is provided but vehicles are parked entirely at their owner’s risk.

Dr Sultan is our lead GP. He is the named accountable GP for all Ingham patients. We have a range of experienced health professionals in our team. They each bring expertise in their specialist area, helping the Ingham team provide excellent care and services. Depending on the reason you have contacted us, our team will identify who is best to support you, how soon this should happen and whether you need a face to face or telephone appointment.

Further information is available by asking a member of the practice team and in our Practice leaflets which are available from Reception. Dispensary leaflets can be obtained from Reception or Dispensary.
