Seasonal Flu Vaccination

SEASONAL FLU VACCINATION CLINIC 2024

FLU Clinics for 2024 will commence in September 2024.  Clinics to be confirmed. 

If you have any difficulty, please telephone the practice on 01522 730269 to book your FLU vaccination appointment.

Seasonal Flu Vaccination is recommended:

• IF YOU ARE AGED 65 AND OVER

• WHATEVER YOUR AGE IF YOU HAVE: 

• A chronic chest complaint, including asthma and COPD
• Heart Disease
• Chronic kidney or liver disease
• Diabetes
• Lowered immunity due to a disease or treatment such as steroid medication or cancer treatment
• Chronic Neurological Disease e.g. Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease
• Any other serious medical condition – please check with the doctor if you are unsure

• OR IF YOU ARE: 

• Pregnant
• A registered Carer
• Living in long-stay residential care homes

• Children aged 2-3 years will be sent letters inviting them to book into routine nurse appointment

• Children from Reception through to Year 6 will be vaccinated by the School Vaccination Service

Flu appointments will be made available from 2 October onwards.  Therefore, please telephone reception to book your appointment if you are eligible. 

Additional Flu Clinics will be advertised on the Practice’s website once they are arranged.
